Facilities
Planart Special Products manufacturing facility is located in the Docklands district of Dublin city. The factory is 20 minutes from Dublin airport and close to all freight and transport centers.
The factory is a modern building equipped with all services needed for the manufacturing technology center.
The manufacturing area is 5,000 sq. ft. (500 sq M) as well as a separate office and administration area.
The plant is divided into the following centers ; Photographics/Printing, Blank/Pattern development and Milling, Mechanical profiling, Heat treatment, Electroplating/finishing, product final preparation and assembly.
History
Planart Special Products was established in 1991. The initial objectives included establishing Planart as a European manufacturer and supplier of EMC products to meet the demands brought about by the EU directives on EMC.
From that time onwards, Planart has been a major supplier to many leading corporations in both Europe and USA.
Our customers base includes customers in the Telecommunications, Data processing, Medical and Electronics industries.
We have continuously improved and increased our capabilities, capacity and quality while maintaining the ability to provide competitively priced solutions to our Customers at both small and large volumes.
Experiences
Since 1991, Planart have been involved with providing a vast array or customer solutions in the area of EMC. These solutions include both customer designed solutions and fixes for EMC emissions problems. Therefore, we have gained a large amount of our expertise from practical applications of our theoretical knowledge base.
Similarly, product designs have also been tested and proven. We can therefore take account of a very large variety of product requirements required for both general, specific, unique and sometimes very unusual applications.
We have found, over many years, that metal to metal contact via metal gaskets provide the most predictable and reliable results for EMC control. We have also found that the performance of these products is dependable over a longer time period.
For this reason, we continue to produce and recommend the use of Copper alloys such as Beryllium copper and, in some cases, stainless steel for EMC applications.
